Brent Gnagey has 20+ years of experience in the education technology field. Brent began his career as an elementary teacher with teaching experiences ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 8 in three schools (Ayersville, Pettisville and Archbold school districts).
While a teacher, Brent used a learning management system software along with word processing/desktop publishing with his classes in the 1980s. Gradually migrating to the technology director of Archbold Area Schools, he implemented programs to enhance the educational setting at Archbold along with updating the systems to meet the changing educational environment.
As a technology director, Brent’s continual focus on the learning environment contributed to the success of many programs and initiatives. Technology is a tool to enhance learning not just a tool to be learned. This philosophy has driven Brent to be an educational leader. In 2009, Brent was awarded the Technology Director of the Year honor in the state of Ohio by the Ohio eTech Commission. This award highlighted his focus of impacting the classroom and motivating teachers to incorporate innovative technology strategies in their classrooms.
One of Brent’s greatest assets when working with adults in technology is his elementary education focus. He is an educator at heart. His passion for technology-related devices and concepts along with his educational passion make him an excellent trainer and facilitator.
Sunshine for Your Mac was birthed in 2011 to assist people with their questions when using Apple devices and the software designed to create and produce projects. Many people desire to learn how to use software programs or learn new ways to be more efficient. Sunshine for Your Mac’s mission is to aid individuals so they are equipped to better use the technology they have purchased.
